A close family friend brought a Dutch apple pie to our holiday party and I have to say this is the best Dutch apple pie I've ever had!!! We live in Roseville and will definitely be visiting her more often so we can go to Primrose Bakery!!

Update: Finally got a chance to try other items. For the holiday season , ordered their seasonal apple cranberry pie. It was everything you'd want in a fall dessert: crumbly, sweet, and perfectly balanced with a mix of tart and sweet flavors. It's clear this place does well at more than just macaroons. That said, the macaroons (yes, the coconut kind. Not macaRONs) are still my go-to treat. Whether it's their freshly baked chocolate-dipped variety or the mini pre-baked ones, they never disappoint.

They have recently remodeled - love the new ambiance! It's more spacious and there's seating (both indoor and outdoor) to enjoy your baked goodies. We came here for a quick sweet treat. We were able to snag street parking right in front. Went inside and was warmly greeted. Very pleasantly surprised that they had a few gluten free options that were clearly marked! I decided to go with the hazelnut chocolate cookie with a cup of tea and it did not disappoint! Loved the texture and the decadent flavor of the cookie, coupled with a hot beverage was the perfect treat. Did notice the line getting long at times while we were there but it goes by quickly. Will definitely be back to try more desserts!

Did someone say dessert? If yes, proceed to Primrose Bakery located in downtown Pleasanton. I came here with my posse after we did the 2-1/2 hour Ghost Walk through downtown Pleasanton last Friday night. It's a lovely establishment filled with an assortment of desserts such as my personal favorite cannoli's! They even have dog treats! The staff is super friendly too. Be sure to stop by when you're in town.

So lucky to have an amazing bakery close by. This was a last minute order and look how beautiful!! I wish I took better pictures because in person the cake was actually sparkling in gold. Cake was a tres leche and it was THE best I have ever had. super moist cake covered in whipped cream not too sweet creamy custard inside layers perfectly milky at the bottom

A little on the pricey side for baked goods. The people were nice and the baked goods were yummy - not really much more to say. I probably wouldn't go again unless I was in the area and reallly craving something sweet

On Tuesday, we received a last-minute 4th of July invite necessitating some quick decision making. The theme of the meal was to be Hawaiian. I can make some mean Kalua Pig with Cabbage, Chicken Long Rice, Kalbi Short Ribs, Teriyaki or Huli Huli Chicken and of course, Potato Mac Salad. Unfortunately, the weather has been quite hot, and our house is like an oven, so cooking was out of the question. Dessert is always a safe choice. Who could provide what we wanted on short notice? Primrose Bakery is one of our local favorites. I checked on their website, found some items that I was interested in and placed an order for Wednesday pick-up at 10am. We arrived at about 10:30 and was promptly greeted. I gave them my name and they quickly had my order gathered. They opened each box and showed me each item before placing them into two bags. They have taken over their former neighbor's store front and are in the process of expanding their interior space. If you've been here before, the display cases used to form an L with the pastries and cookies perpendicular to the front windows. That L has been straightened out with both display cases facing the front window. I'm sure that will increase their walk-by business as now people can see everything on display. They told me that they plan on installing a few tables and chairs so folks can sit and enjoy some coffee and pastries. What we ordered: Apple Pie Banana Cream Pie Berry & Bavarian Cream Cake Box of 4th of July Cookies Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures, but there were only crumbs left when lunch was over. Once again, Primrose made a lot of faces smile.
